Retail - Camberley
 
 
On 23rd January we handed over the former Do it all store to Matalan for their fit out.  Working on behalf of Schroders we managed the strip out of the Focus installations, re-division and re-roofing of the retail unit.  Value circa £600,000

Tickets and Hotel booked.  The Partners look forward to catching up with old friends and making some new ones.
 
Building Surveys 
 
Since Tom (Cutler) joined us in August, we have undertaken a number of building surveys, combining his skills and ours.  Surveys are turned around quickly and where appropriate include input to help inform the reader of development opportunities that the property might present or other technical points of interest which would not normally be covered in a building survey.
 
City Tower and City Place House update
 
Following the completion of the complex and intricate design activities, the major refurbishment works to City Tower and City Place House schemes are now being tendered.  Works are due to commence on site Q1 2012.
 
JJ2 are working in joint venture partnership with Capital and Provincial in the role of Project Managers and Contract Administrators.
 
 
 
More high-end  Residential work 
 
A further high end residential win, this time in St George's Hill, Weybridge,  one of four private clients that we are assisting in projects to build some very special houses.
 
 
127 - 135 Sloane Street

Working in joint venture with Capital and Provincial we are providing the project management of a £50m scheme to redevelop two 1960's blocks in Sloane Street.  The Stage D design was presented to the client, Cadogan Estates, at the beginning of November and planning was granted in mid-December.  2012 will be a busy year with the team developing the design and tendering this substantial scheme to facilitate a site start at the beginning of 2013.

 
More work with Great Portland Estates

Again working in partnership with Capital and Provincial, we are providing the project management input for GPE's scheme to refurbish their property at 20 St James's.

 
Chigwell ~ Residential

The Brennan Group will started work on site in December to build a bespoke 'high-end' residential property in Chigwell, with JJ2 providing a project and cost monitoring role having overseen the procurement of the project.  This will bring to four, the number of live high end residential projects that we are currently giving advice on. 

 
Oxford Street

After nearly two years on site, the project on the junction of Oxford St and Harewood Place is nearing completion.  The challenging project has involved adding a floor to the building, infilling a lightwell, rebuilding the main core of the building and threading 200t of new steel into the existing envelope, all whilst keeping the third busiest McDonalds in the country fully operational on the ground floor.  Completion at the end of February is projected for this project for Amsprop.

 
Fire!

Working again with Skilz UK, we have provided the cost and project management on a high speed project to get the publishers, Macmillan, back into a floor of their offices after a fire at the end of July.  Macmillan re-occupied the space on 26th September.
