We have considerable experience of refurbishing existing buildings, in particular commercial space.  That experience derived from both time spent working in the contracting and consulting environment includes heavy refurbishment projects involving the addition of floors, retained facades, maximising lettable area, recladding buildings and working in occupied premises.

 

A current project that involves most of these is on the corner of Oxford Street and Harewood Place.

Heavy refurbishment of commercial space above 'live' retail units including large scale demolition behind the facade to reform the lift and stair cores, infilling of lightwell and the addition of a new floor on top.  Works have started on site February 2010 with completion in early 2012.  JCT Contract £5.2m

 

Challenge

Keeping the third busiest McDonalds in the country in operation on the ground floor whilst works proceed above and around them.
